Café & Shop
During peak season, we have a special tradition on-site. On Friday and Saturday evenings, our guests can eat at the campsite café-restaurant, known as the Gøgler-Café, where we serve delicious food at extremely reasonable prices. We work hard to ensure that the menu includes dishes that everyone will like, whilst at the same time offering a solid dining experience on a level which we call "a glimpse of gourmet", but with proper food on your plate! Customers can choose between 2 main courses, which will usually include one meat dish and one fish dish.
Tables can be booked for 18:00 or for 20:00, but customers are also welcome to “drop in”, space permitting.
Every day during the high season and holiday periods we offer big breakfast from 7.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Price DKK 60/EUR 8. Half price for children.
Our shop carries a wide range of daily necessities, as well as wine, beer, water, ice-creams and sweets, tobacco, postcards and stamps, and fresh bread. We have our own bakery, so that your breakfast loaf will always be freshly baked, and fresh pastries are available to go with your cup of tea.
For dinner, we sell dauphinoise potatoes, baked potatoes, chips, lasagne, meatballs, grilled chicken, fish fillets, etc. The shop provides a variety of brochures to inspire your activities in the region. It is also the place to come for help with any problems that may arise or questions you might have.
Opening hours in peak season:
07:00 - 12:00
14:00 - 21:00
Most of the bread in our shop is made in our own bakery. We set great store by old varieties of flour, such as spelt, graham, rye-wheat blend, rye and our Scandinavian ølandshvede.
Everything is baked with sourdough, and has taken longer to mature than traditional bread, which gives it a deeper taste, as the dough has more time to develop, bringing out the special properties of the flour. Doing this makes sense to us, and we hope you will enjoy it too.
